Yes, the shows have been over for a few weeks now, but that doesn't mean the buzz has stopped. Fashion never sleeps. Here's a little refresher on what was big and what is even showing up in street style already......

Have you noticed that it is now socially acceptable to wear your black Nike trainers with basically anything in your closet, from jeans to dinner jackets to cocktail dresses? (even more acceptable if they're optic white Converse). Have you wondered why? yeah me too (I'm not knocking it though, who doesn't want comfortable feet at the end of the day?)..... turns out almost EVERY SINGLE trend comes from the runway shows, even when it has to do with active wear. There is argument behind the trickle up theory where street style influences the runway designers but then the people of the street are inspired by what the designers are sending down the runway which was inspired by the people of the street and the cycle goes on.

Just about every designer that showed during the Spring 2013 shows had a sporty feel in their collection, whether it be through fabrication or actual silhouette. Vera Wang, Dries Van Noten, Gucci, Tom Ford, Christopher Kane, and the list continues. According to Style.com, even luxury brands traditionally known for glamour are contributing to this sporty feeling with "elevated gym staples."

What this means for the every day person? Sporty chic is in... and in a big way. Hello comfortable shoes, oversized sweatshirt, and baseball caps. The sweatshirt is and will continue to be big into next season. Pictured above you can See Christopher Kanes's version and Dries Van Noten's version.

Here are some that have already trickled into the mass market. A Kenzo classic with a twist for this season on the left and a simple Zara version. Simple, chic, and easy to throw on with your favorite pair of jeans or even on top of your favorite dress to transition it into winter, add some sneakers and maybe even a baseball cap, and you're in style.

Here are some of my favorite bloggers: Leandra Medine of TheManReppeller, Brooklyn Blonde, and CzezkChick  all sportin' the sporty look, complete with Nike or Converse

SO go ahead, throw on your old pair of running shoes with funky jeans and a t-shirt, chances are you'll be the coolest girl on the street.

Stay tuned for more Runway to Reality updates

But the question is.... How will you be rockin' your kicks this season?

I've definitely snagged myself a few pair of cute sneakers, just because of this trend!
